A large paper mill in Guangxi routinely handles large paper rolls weighing up to 15 tons. Traditional transfer equipment lacked the necessary stability and posed safety risks during paper roll handling. To address this challenge, we customized an ultra-low rail transfer cart specifically for this application.
The most notable feature of this 15-ton transfer cart is its height of just 30 cm. To achieve this low profile, components such as electrical boxes were mounted externally, minimizing the internal structure and enabling the cart to pass easily through low aisles and under shelves. This design significantly improves space utilization within the workshop.
Considering the cylindrical shape of paper rolls, we installed custom workholding brackets at the front and rear of the platform. During operation, these brackets securely support both ends of the paper rolls, preventing rolling or shifting during transfer. This not only protects the rolls from damage but also eliminates the risk of material slipping.
The transfer cart is both convenient and flexible. Workers can operate it from a distance using the onboard handle or control it via wireless remote for forward, reverse, start, and stop functions from a safe location. This feature is especially beneficial for loading and unloading paper rolls, where multi-angle coordination is required, making the transfer process more efficient and secure.
The industrial transfer cart is currently operating stably in the customer's workshop. We maintain close communication with the customer and regularly monitor the equipment's performance. Whether for routine maintenance or more complex operational issues, we respond promptly to ensure the equipment continues to meet the workshop's transfer demands and supports efficient production.
